The People Behind it All

The age-old drudgery of the 9-5 is dying. Companies are realizing that people are the key to their continued success. It’s no longer profitable for employees to drag themselves in, drop into an uncomfortable chair and then suffer inside their cubicles every day of the week. The truth is, offices are changing. They are becoming more mobile, and more active. It’s people driving all these changes. In today’s tech-giant world there is a growing trend to emphasize culture. Companies like Google are famous for the environment they foster in the workplace, offering benefits like gourmet cafeterias, massage rooms, nap pods, and more. Wouldn’t we all like to work in a place that truly cares about us? Of course, anyone can make promises. If you really want to know what a company is doing, go to their people. After Mobile Solutions earned Inc. Magazine's Best Workplaces and Denver Business Journal's Top 10 Best Places to Work, we wanted to delve into the experiences of our people. We asked the question; what are they saying about their job? Maybe you would expect a slew of surprising statements. After all, you never know what you’ll get when you give people a platform for their voice to be heard. Here’s one of the answers we received:

“Mobile Solutions is NOT the best place to work. That description is entirely unfitting. Mobile Solutions is not the best place to work, in the same sense that a ribeye steak is NOT the best vegetable. Because Mobile Solutions is not a place to work anymore than a home is just a place to sleep. Mobile Solutions is an OPPORTUNITY. Between the hours of 9 and 5, the business world hums with activity. Monday through Friday, deals closing, coffee brewing, phones ringing, bosses yelling, buyers buying, and sellers selling; we reside in a constant state of noise and activity. The difference between the rest of the world and Mobile Solutions? Well, the hustle certainly doesn’t stop, if you don’t work hard, then you need not apply. But instead of office cliques and heavy-handed management tactics, there is a cohesive “Team” feeling to Mobile Solutions that is not easily put in words. The word FAMILY comes to mind. Dalai Lama XIV said “There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called Yesterday and the other is called Tomorrow. Today is the right day to Love, Believe, Do and mostly Live.” Every day is a new day and a new chance to achieve twice as much as you did yesterday. Bad days happen, but there are no bad weeks. Mobile Solutions is not the Best Place to Work. It is the Best Place to Be. A place where you can exist as far more than a cog in a machine, churning minute after minute until you break down and need replacing. I know that with Mobile Solutions, my possibilities are endless. What we do inspires me to work as hard as the people around me, because what we do matters, and every single person there plays a role in the successes we achieve. I smile every morning as I make my commute because I’m not driving to work. I’m driven to work.”
